THE BEGINNING

This innovation initially came to life when…

Vamp’s Co-Founders Aaron Brooks and Ben McGrath noticed the need to streamline the soon-to-be-booming influencer marketing industry. In 2015 they created the technology for Vamp, a platform to connect brands with power middle influencers. After recruiting a number of influencers they embarked on their first campaign with Toby’s Estate which achieved 262,911 views and a 9% engagement rate. Later that year, a campaign with Ebay reached more than a million people. Vamp now has five international offices, 30+ staff and global clients including Estée Lauder, Airbnb, American Express and Samsung.

Influencers get access to incredible collaborations, with minimal admin and without compromising their integrity. The process is streamlined and scalable.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

…brands would waste time vetting and negotiating with talent, provide over-prescriptive briefs and receive disappointing results. The Vamp platform manages every step from brief and talent selection, through to invoicing, reporting and live chat. The process accessible, cost-effective and extensible. Influencers meanwhile would be expected to buy the products, wait for payment and have their creativity stifled.

More creative freedom for our influencers and more authentic content for our clients. We pre-vet our talent pool so campaigns don’t have to be diluted with excessive direction. The result is incredible campaigns with high audience engagement.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

Marketing teams spending hours hunting for individual influencers, negotiating deals and attempting to track results. During our testing period we conducting vast interviews and set about relieving the pain points of the process. There was also no clear way to surface content directly into Facebook. That is the area we are currently innovating.
