I think you missed the "space key" after the last word in your first sentence.

Cheers

Dear Mr La Salle,

I am surprised that one so critical of small detail would not take more care with spelling. As wise as sound it pays to remember that when we point the finger at someone there is four fingers pointing back.

I won't be requesting your learned paper as I don't have time to sit and correct the many spelling errors it must have.

Kindest Regards

Good post, Amantha, and I couldn't agree more with you regarding all the waffly, not-so-helpful self-help books. It is amazing how far off the mark intuition can be sometimes and it's really nice to see a few evidence-based self-help books appearing now. Another one I'd highly recommend along the same vein is 59 seconds by Richard Wiseman.

Oh btw, what the hell is wrong with using the "C" word in a title?! What's wrong with using techniques to be more creative?

Ah, the old 'c' word. If I would have used a title with the 'i' word instead, it would have been quite misleading, Roger. The book (if you can get past judging a book by its cover, or in this case its title), is squarely focused at the front end of innovation - just one part of the 'i' equation, hence the 'c' word title.

I've read Amantha's book (title didn't bother me at all) and think it has some great tips and ideas - some are intuitive, others not. The format is user-friendly too - you can either read the whole chapter or just skip to the tip at the end. Recommended.

I agree totally with Amantha, but she has committed to cardinal sin of using that "C" word in her title. With this word in its' title I would not even bother to pick it up.

I do innovation, and I have written a papers somewhat similar to Amantha, but I do not use the creativity word in a positive sense even once. I agree, its nonsence.

As as for De Bono, I think this material is so far out of date it blowns my mind that people still use it, except for perhaps Six Thinkig Hats, which is not for creativity or innovation, but for managing difficult people at meetings.

Nice try Amantha, but you blew it with the title.

If you want my learned paper on the matter, just ask.

Cheers
