Ready for your close-up? Why PR is all about great storytelling

Public Relations is the art of relevant storytelling for corporations and individuals. It’s about finding your story and communicating your story to create allure and desire around your brand. Most importantly, it’s about effective, infectious communication which generates positive results.

Paragliding donkey the stupidest marketing stunt ever? We have six more.

Based on dim-memory, subjective reasoning and a (slightly self-conscious) desire to create a traffic accumulating list of massive link bait longevity (like this one), we've created what we've (rather ambitiously) called, "The seven stupidest marketing stunts of all time." (The stunts are presented in no particular order.)

Rebuttal: PR is More Than Cocaine and Hookers (Most of the Time)

‘Add value. Be a real human being.’ It sounds simple, and it probably is if you’re a one woman band flogging a set of steak knives. But what if you are an organisation with a small army of people who actually speak to customers each day?

Why PR is a pointless waste of time

Kyle Sandilands – King of Publicity or complete clown?

In 2007, I was asked to play devil's advocate during the final judging round of the Queensland leg of Business Icon and grill a number of young entrepreneurs about their recently devised plans to launch a fictional product (created for the competition).

50 Top Publicity Stunts

Earlier this year, prominent UK PR agency Taylor Herring compiled a list of the Top 50 Publicity Stunts. Some of them created a global buzz, some were very expensive and some were downright illegal. But they all succeeded in turning heads and getting chins wagging, which surely put a smile on the brands being publicised.

PR flacks beware! Your product campaigns are subject to video review.

Mick and other bloggers weren't impressed with this "spammy" contact, and made that clear. So Publicis Mojo had another crack, sending him a package. Mick deceided to capture his impressions of this second marketing effort by videoing the grand opening in the form of a review.
