Coke have been busy making videos this year. With that kind of marketing budget, creative ideas haven’t been in short supply.
But this one, well, maybe Coke is also feeling a bit tired at this end of the year. Perhaps everyone was just a low on creative thoughts.
In this video branding stunt, the company installed a vending machine on the campus of the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. If students wanted a Coke, they had to sing a Christmas Carol to earn it.
And, wow, who knew so many people could sing so badly.
Is it original? Not, even close. Fun? Probably. Unless you were trying to study for finals and the vending machine was nearby.
