On 19 April, over 650 tech entrepreneurs and students attended the fourth annual free Startup School, held at Stanford University in California. The event, organised by seed venture fund YCombinator, has become a fixture in the West Coast US tech entrepreneur’s calendar.
This year’s world-class speakers included Jeff Bezos (Amazon), Marc Andreessen (Netscape/Ning), Greg McAdoo (Sequoia Capital), Paul Buchheit (FriendFeed, Gmail), Paul Graham (YCombinator), Mike Arrington (TechCrunch) and David Heinemeier Hansson (Ruby on Rails).
Lots of good stuff here for any aspiring tech entrepreneur or investor, and plenty of useful nuggets for anyone working in or with exciting, fast-growth start-ups.
