I had two boys of my own who were using disposable food pouches, such as yoghurt and baby food. The cost and amount of waste were way too high.

We decided that there had to be a more cost efficient, healthy and environmentally friendly option available as we were sure we weren’t the only parents going thought this.

We came up with the My Squeeze to encourage less waste. It is not only cost effective but also convenient for a growing family.

Cut out the waste of the disposable pre-packaged foods and also cut down on food costs. My Squeeze is a reusable food pouch for babies and young children that can be filled with any squeezable snack of your choice.

It does this by…

Giving parents the choice to buy in bulk on items such as yoghurt and portion it into a My Squeeze for their child’s lunchbox which in term will lower food cost.

It is also great for homemade baby food when out with baby/toddler as you can take a My Squeeze along saving on the current disposable food pouches available.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

It is reusable. It will cut out the waste of the current disposable food pouches. My Squeeze also has been designed to free stand for no fuss filling which is an added benefit from the current ones on the market.

Being cost efficient, environmentally friendly, easy to use and most importantly it allows for healthy choices to eliminate all the sugars and additives that can be found it some pre-packaged yoghurts and baby foods.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

Until recently, it wasn’t solved. Parents had to use containers for yoghurts/baby foods to get the same results as the My Squeeze in terms of cost efficiency and waste friendliness. As this wasn’t the most convenient option, the reusable food pouches started appearing.

My Squeeze stands out also because it has been designed to free stand for no fuss filling.

Varies types of “reusable” pouches are available, however the materials that these food pouches are made of are not of the same quality of the My Squeeze, resulting in only about ten reuses. My Squeeze can be reused hundreds of times!

5. TARGET MARKET

Every child! My Squeeze is suitable for baby’s starting solids (6 month and above) right through to day care and then when they start school.

Day cares especially are really enforcing healthy, waste free lunch boxes which will be a main target market for the My Squeeze.

As it can be frozen as well it can also target young school aged children to keep their lunch boxes cool while providing a nutritious snack.

Get the word about My Squeeze out fast. Word of mouth with parents is a very valuable marketing tool for a product such as the My Squeeze. We will be targeting baby/children magazines as well and social media which will be a strong marketing tool.
