Shanti Korporaal, 28, founded VR The World in 2015 with her husband Skeeve Stevens and their business partner Mikey Bayliss.
VR The World is a virtual reality production studio that specialises in creating immersive virtual reality experiences for its clients. This is one of few VR and 360 Video production companies in Australia. And it is the only company that specialises in training and empowering other companies and creative agencies to do it on their own.
Korporaal is known as a serial entrepreneur that started her first business when she was just 15! She is dynamic, innovative and spots trends before they happen. She capitalises on an opportunity in the market by creating businesses that fill the upcoming needs of others. She is also known for empowering and educating her clients across all of her business endeavours so that they feel free to leave any time, but don’t take the initiative to because of how much value Korporaal brings to the table.
Four years ago Korporaal and Stevens had to close a business due to a few setbacks happening all at the same time. They started up a new one with the awareness of their past mistakes and now have eight businesses over two countries with over 20 full-time staff members. The lesson was in financial discipline and learning to build her “grit muscle” everyday.
Korporaal and Stevens not only write together, but they are keynote speakers and coaches, which has been a big differentiator in the marketplace. Stevens is known as the visionary and Korporaal is known as the pragmatist.
As a missionary’s daughter, she witnessed real poverty, so from a very young age she felt compelled to save the world. As she grew up she discovered she couldn’t save the whole world, but she can empower others with the knowledge she has learnt to help them grow their businesses.
