30under30 is an Anthill initiative launched in early 2008 to encourage and promote entrepreneurship among young Australians.

Sebastian Chaoui ensures children’s dreams of becoming an astronaut don’t have to go to waste. Cuberider is an interactive space education company for high schoolers.

With his co-founder Solange Cunin, Sebastian has created a way for students to code their very own space experiments and have them launch to the international space station.

On its website, Cuberider is described as “giving high school students the opportunity to learn valuable STEM skills by designing and coding experiments that are tested in space on the International Space Station.”

Cuberider isn’t only teaching technical skills, Sebastian says, it’s also inspiring young people to be innovators and leaders.

Sebastian and Solange created the first company in Australian (apart from Optus) to be approved by the federal government to fly a mission to space.

In its first 7 months, Cuberider already had 50 schools on board. Since then, their student audience has only be growing.

With the program, these schools receive content, activities, worksheets, assessments and mapping to curriculum.

At the peak of the course, student’s submit their experiments in advance to be tested and then launched on a rocket to the International Space Station, the Cuberider website says.

The goal of the course is to “change the way humanity utilizes outer space and to help inspire students to take up a STEM based career,” Sebastian says.

Sebastian attributes much of his success to his knack for turning clean slates in to masterpieces, he says. He feels he knows what it takes to make a company successful and he’s willing to go all the way to do so.
