SBE Australia has launched a new 8-week program designed for female tech founders

SBE Australia recently announced the official launch of its latest program, E3: Empower, Evolve, Escalate. Launching first in Sydney, the E3 program is an eight-week educational workshop for female founders of tech companies, uniquely designed to equip and empower them with the skills and confidence they need to build sustainable, high-growth, investor-ready technology businesses.

Since 2000, SBE Australia’s sister organisation Springboard Enterprises has helped over 674 female-led companies raise $7.7B in capital while SBE Australia’s local Alumni has raised $178M to date.

SBE Australia, which has been running the Springboard Enterprise Australia Accelerator program for the past five years, saw the need for a dedicated program geared to the needs of female founders that go beyond just helping them to attract investors, but to build sustainable and profitable businesses for the longer term.

What is the purpose of this E3 program?

Julie Demsey, General Manager of SBE Australia says the aim of the program is to help build stronger female-led tech companies, by giving founders and leaders the right knowledge, tools and support to flourish in a welcoming environment of like-minded people.

“There are many programs out there for early-stage companies at the idea stage, but not so many for companies that are already in business and need support to help them grow and scale,” she says.

“Unlike traditional accelerator programs, E3 is a highly subsidised program, created specifically to support the needs of female founders, run through a not-for-profit expert community which doesn’t take a stake in the business.”

During the eight-week E3 program, participants will use and learn new tools and put into action techniques used by entrepreneurs to better understand customers, test business models, lead teams, build a brand and manage growth and risk. The course has been uniquely designed to empower female leaders with the key building blocks and disciplines needed to make their businesses sustainable and attractive to both customers and future investors, alongside experts from our network who will be brought in each week.

Alumni of SBE Australia’s programs include Dr Catriona Wallace, CEO and Founder of Flamingo Customer Experience, Anne Moore, Founder of PlanDo; Elisa Mokaney,  Co-founder & Director of SpeedDx and Deb Noller, Co-founder and CEO of Switch Automation.

Applications for the Sydney E3 program are now open and close at 5:00pm (EST), Sunday 11 June 2017. The top graduate of each E3 program will receive an automatic entry to the regional interviews stage of the Springboard Enterprises Accelerator program.
