1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation came to life when…

SATR stands for small arms transmitter receiver. It offers you real-time hit feedback, via light effects (through the red dot scope) and sound effects (through voice feedback). This is a live video game.

The goal is to create an emotionally engaging, authentic experience that will not only satisfy veteran gamers but also attract new players who want to experience something like watching a heart pounding blockbuster movie, but instead, having the opportunity to live it. We launched it in February 2014.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

Simulate direct firing with realistic audio/visual effects for gamers, using infrared ‘bullets’ instead of the pain of paintballs. The RF hit-feedback means you know you got ‘em.

It does this by…

It does this using patented digital IR and RF. An infra-red light emitting diode (LED) similar to those used in household remote controls is housed in a gaming gun is used to tag an opponent. With digital radio a signal is sent to the shooter so they know they have hit their target. SATR 2.0 now offers new in-game perks.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

The system is peer-to-peer so you can play in just about any terrain (indoors or outdoors). The in-game perks enable gamers to play Domination (like LIVE Call of Duty).

Now, there is also Mystery Box, Cure Box and Weapons Box perks. SATR 2.0 now also supports Zombie Games.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

Zombies. You can now play out the Walking Dead scenarios as well as all our battle scenarios.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

This is patented technology, patented in Australia and the USA and pending in EU. Traditional laser tag is played in a dark foggy maze with a scoring system from first to last displayed on a monitor. Instead SATR focuses on team work and team objectives.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

The first generation SATR which was recognized as a Top 20 Coolest, Cool Company Awards, Anthill Magazine, July 2006.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

  • Battlefield operators
  • FEC and theme parks
  • Bowling alleys
  • High rope course operators
  • Trampoline park operators
  • Outdoor recreation

It is available for sale through…

 Our website www.battlefieldsports.com

Our marketing strategy is to…

Use our website, international re-sellers, trade shows, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest) and cross-marketing opportunities for example we were invited to the premier of sci-fi movie Divergent to create a fan experience outside the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square, London. Using SATR 2.0 we created a Dauntless initiation test.
