Sales people learning foolproof selling techniques at NIDA?

June 30, 2009 | By Paul Ryan

We received a great response to the video we posted yesterday, Your business card is CRAP. Apparently, most Anthillians found it as hilarious as we did. In fact, one contact – reflecting on the theatrical and near-unconscious showman skills of the video’s star – mentioned that a friend of his who works in sales for Fairfax has, along with his Fairfax colleagues, been signed up for a course at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA).

Actors training salespeople how to mesmorise their targets with stage techniques? Not as crazy as it sounds. In fact, what a great idea!

So now we’re on the hunt for any other unusual sales training techniques or initiatives you’ve come across. If you know of any, or perhaps tried some yourself, let us know below.
