This innovation initially came to life when…

…two french horn players set out to make it possible for musicians to (a) broadcast a live concert from small venues and sell a ‘ticket’ to viewers and (b) allow music students to participate in master classes with teachers around the world. They realised that video streaming was both expensive and complicated — and decided to change that!

WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

…make it possible for anyone who wants to broadcast a high quality meeting, performance, seminar, message or other communication to do so and for the owners of both new and archived video content to monetise that content internationally.

It does this by…

…providing non-technical operators to set up, charge for and stream video from virtually anywhere, and mix up to four video inputs using our portable streaming box. Where content is concerned, rivusTV creates syndicates of users and allows paid content to be made available on any website in the world, splitting revenue between the content owner and website owner, or ‘affiliate’.

…it makes high-quality video streaming possible from virtually anywhere, at a fraction of the price that has been paid previously. This creates a new business and communication model for virtually every organisation and individual. The content syndication platform makes it possible to mobilise international audiences without a marketing budget and to monetise the significant video content sitting in vaults.

Creating a portal that allows secure, high-quality streaming without the need for expensive equipment, high startup costs and technical personnel places streaming within everyone’s reach. …conventional fixed location video streaming solutions, which are expensive and limited in flexibility or consumer solutions that do not provide the ability to manage the viewing audience. TARGET MARKET

…all businesses, performers, sporting clubs, government departments, event organisers and owners of vaults containing video content for which a sales/distribution network does not currently exist. Our first activities have been in Australia but we are now reaching out to Europe, Asia and North America on the syndication side of the business, creating an international content monetisation solution by bringing together communities of interest that span the globe and create critical mass for even specialist areas of interest. The business/government solution is currently being used for ‘instant’ news, conferences, seminars, corporate and marketing messages, teaching and communication to remote areas.

DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY

…resellers in the business, government and media verticals for video streaming — and directly from rivusTV while we establish reference sites. Content syndication allows distribution by every member-based organisation in the world, because they earn 25% of what is paid.

Our marketing strategy is to…

…work with resellers and alliance partners both locally and internationally. We already have access to tens of thousands of websites via partners and are about to co-market our streaming box with an international competitor. We actively build syndicates of users with a common interest (sports, music, drama, science, educators etc.) and then mobilise the content owned by members and others.
