1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation initially came to life when…

Zak Saboune, founder and General Manager of Service Today became aware of some major flaws in the type of user generated content that is created in the form of reviews online. There is no control over who can review your services, for instance it is open to competitors posting bogus reviews and it doesn’t offer businesses the opportunity for engagement with reviewers.

With well over one million online reviews posted about Australian businesses, ReviewBee gives the tens of thousands of plumbers, electricians and other trade businesses better control over their online reviews.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

…allow service providers the opportunity to capture client information as they make a review giving them more control and empowering them to engage with the customer, whether the review is positive or negative.

It does this by…

…providing an intuitive online interface that lets customers select the service provider, tag a particular employee and then write a review that they can then elect to share on other online platforms. The reviewer must enter contact details that then provides the member business with the opportunity to engage further with the customer.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

It gives forward-thinking home service industry businesses a means of actively encouraging their customers to provide reviews that they have more control over, and then allows them to share that review on other platforms for maximum exposure. It also provides individual connection with team members.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

…the ability for businesses to filter out bogus competitor reviews, recognize and get feedback on specific team members and offer the ability to provide better customer service by addressing any issues with reviewers.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

…trying to contact the review platform hosts to have bogus reviews removed, usually without any success at all. The existing platforms really only provide the ability to randomly review services without the ability to recognize great service by individuals and they provide no means of improving service directly with a customer.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

…review sites such as Yahoo, Yelp, WOMO, amongst others. ReviewBee extends these concept by providing a space to capture reviews for use in customer engagement and marketing, that can then be shared on existing review platforms.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

…any businesses in the plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling industry, as well as general trades businesses to offer their customers an intuitive online platform to give feedback about their services.

It is intended to provide benefit to the tens of thousands of service industry providers in providing better customer service through stronger customer engagement, and anyone of the over one million reviewers who want to ensure that their feedback reaches the company they are reviewing and who also want to share to their wider networks.

It is available for sale through…

It will be made available for free to home services businesses as a means of marketing to and engaging with their customers. The businesses will simply register and upload their information, then promote it to their customers.

Our marketing strategy is to…

…create information packages that demonstrate the benefits of being part of this industry initiative and making direct contact with major organisations within the industry. Once we have established a base of users we will employ a PR and online promotion strategy to engage smaller businesses.
