Public feedback sought for proposed Federal R&D Tax Concession changes

As part of the Federal Government’s dramatic overhaul of its commercialisation program, now called Commercialisation Australia ^[1], the R&D Tax Concession will replace the R&D Tax Credit ^[2] from 1 July, 2010.

Just prior to Christmas, exposure draft legislation ^[3] (pdf) and explanatory material ^[4] needed to implement the changes were released for public comment.

Submissions are requested by Friday 5 February, 2010. Further information is available on the Treasury website ^[5].
