Promotion for food-reviewing application Nosh sets new standard for app ads

So, there’s an incubator called Firespotter Labs that recently ignited its first application: Nosh, which allows people to share images and opinions of restaurant food.

The app, which became available earlier this week, has iPhone and Android versions. It also can be accessed on the web.

Are we telling you all this because we have determined that Nosh is the Killer App We’ve All Been Waiting For? No. People can achieve much of what Nosh is selling with Instagram, Foursquare and Yelp, and there’s already an app out there, Foodspotting, that does much the same thing.

No, we’re wafting this under your nose because of the promotional video, which is exceptionally droll. The lead performer has this Rob Lowe vibe going on. His “dates” are easy on the eyes.
