1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation initially came to life when…

Outfit was developed by NetEngine to solve the pressing need of tech company Red Hat in the Asia-Pacific region; the regional brand manager was getting overloaded with hundreds of requests to produce materials for the ever-growing marketing campaigns and events in the region. Compromising the brand was never an option, so he approached us to look after these requests. Three months into the job, Outfit was built to automate brand consistency and it now has more than 1,000 enterprise users from across 40 countries.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

…provide brand management and marketing production platform that provides brand consistency, and speed of asset execution across all media, delivering cost savings to growing organisations.

It does this by…

Using standard web technologies, Outfit digitises brand style guides. It automatically ensures that everything produced with the platform always stays on brand. Marketers and content authors can produce beautifully designed marketing materials, at scale. Brand managers and designers can guarantee brand consistency across all branded assets. Brand and marketing teams can work collaboratively in real-time across different teams and geographies.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

Outfit brings a new paradigm to producing marketing materials. It challenges the production model we have seen in the last two decades. Until Outfit, the status quo of up-scaling marketing production was met with a costly and centralised approach. However, throwing more people at the problem equated to the need for ever-growing budgets, costly design licenses and slow turn-around times.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

Ensuring brand consistency
Keeping all brand assets in one central place
Scaling the production of branded marketing materials
Increasing the speed-to-market
Reducing costs
Allowing for collaboration across locations and timezones
Creating efficiencies for brand, marketing and agencies
Monitoring marketing production

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

Hiring an ever-growing number of designers to cater for the increasing need of creative assets. This did not guarantee brand consistency across all materials produced.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

There is no direct competitor to our knowledge that solves brand consistency and brand governance like we do. All documents produced in Outfit are on brand by default, and production is at scale and data-driven.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

Big brands, technology companies, franchise networks and universities. We are currently focusing on Australia and New Zealand, planning on expanding to Singapore, US and UK in the next 12 months.

It is available for sale through…

Outfit is a SaaS, software-as-a-service platform, available over the Internet.

Our marketing strategy is to…

Approach influencers (brand/marketing managers and designers) and decision makers (marketing directors and CMOs) with different levels of messaging. We provide value-added content via owned and earned media, while increasing exposure to these through partnerships, events and paid media. Marketing and sales teams work together through account-based marketing techniques to strengthen relationships, close deals and upsell existing accounts.
