Nuix earns NSW's top tech exporter gong

Sydney-based software company Nuix Pty Ltd has been awarded the NSW government’s top technology export award, the 2009 Australian Technology Showcase (ATS) Patrons’ Award.

Nuix was chosen ahead of the five other finalists for its success in exporting its cutting-edge electronic discovery and corporate investigation software to governments, regulators, law enforcement agencies, corporations, advisory and litigation support firms around the globe.

In presenting the award, Minister for State Development Ian Macdonald said:

“Congratulations to Nuix for achieving outstanding export results despite very difficult global conditions. In the first six months of 2009, 83 percent of Nuix’s sales were achieved overseas and the company recorded its best two business quarters to date. These results, achieved against the backdrop of the global financial crisis, demonstrate the value and appeal of Nuix software to international clients.”

In a prominent recent example of Nuix in action, Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission used the software to investigate and prosecute former Morgan Stanley managing director Du Jun, who was sentenced to seven years prison in September for insider trading.
