Digital media networking solutions company Audinate ^[1] (a NICTA ^[2] spin-out company since 2006) has secured an additional $4 million funding round, which was led by its existing investors Starfish Ventures and Innovation Capital.

Audinate produces TCP/IP-based Dante™ networking technology that provides high performance media transport. The technology reduces cost by eliminating the need for expensive, bulky copper analogue wires and considerably reduces the amount of cabling from large installations.

The technology has been widely adopted and is used by companies such as Bosch, Yamaha, Peavey and Dolby.
