MicroBiz Week 2011 to focus on solo, home-based and micro-business ventures in NSW

Are you a really, really small business operating out of New South Wales? Specifically: small enough to fit everyone on your payroll inside of your Subaru Liberty, and still leave the front seats unoccupied?

If you answered ‘yes’, then you are one of some 570,000 micro-businesses in NSW, and MicroBiz Week 2011 is your week.

The events, coordinated by Industry & Investment NSW in partnership with the state government, will run from 30 May to 3 June. They are designed to provide micro-business operators with the latest in business ideas and technology, through practical business workshops, and to create networks with other business owners.

This year’s theme is “How to”, as in “How to increase profit and grow your business using practical tips and skills from a range of experts.”

Some of the planned topics for the week: use of technologies for cloud computing; keeping businesses cyber safe; online marketing opportunities; and maximising productivity and profit.
