Anthill Cool Company Awards
The Cool Company Awards were launched in 2006 as a way for Anthill to acknowledge and celebrate Australian organisations that are doing things differently to bring about positive change. Cool Companies stay one step ahead of the rest. They breed leaders who are rule-makers and rule-breakers. They are trend-setters in attitude and action. Quite simply, they are … cool! More.
Fifty Acres [Finalist]
Company: Fifty Acres – The Communications Agency
Category: Social Capitalist
Fifty Acres advises Not-For-Profits (NFPs) on strategic communications, PR and engagement. In business since 2010, Fifty Acres is a firm many of the country’s NFPs turn to in order to obtain government support or grow their support base.
Fifty Acres provides advice that is smart, visionary and innovative. We’re not afraid of giving frank and fearless advice and telling clients where they’re going wrong and how to make it right, working collaboratively with them.
On its first day in operation, Fifty Acres was just one woman, Founder Jo Scard, and a laptop. The company is now a team of six, including three fulltime employees who all work virtually from all over the country, including Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and regional Australia.
“We’re driven by a passion for making a difference demonstrated not only in the fact that we work with more Not-For-Profits than anybody else in Australia,” the company tells us.
“But we take on a range of pro-bono clients when we just can’t help get involved.”
Hey, that’s the spirit, eh?
Fifty Acres’ target market includes not only NFPs, but also government agencies, SMEs, entrepreneurs, innovative brands and corporates.
Now, we add them to our list of Cool Company finalists.
