The following SMART 100 profile and the information it contains is a duplication of content submitted by the applicant during the entry process. As a function of entry, applicants were required to declare that all details are factually correct, do not infringe on another’s intellectual property and are not unlawful, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. Some profiles have been edited for reasons of space and clarity. More about the SMART 100 [1].
…we had problems keeping our Twitter accounts uncluttered from users that added little value to our tweet stream. We also were having problems seeing who we were following and who was not following us back, and vice versa. There was no easy way to bulk unfollow people based on a set of criteria, e.g. not following us, tweeting too much and cluttering our stream, not tweeting at all. We developed a web-based application that would assist in improving the signal/noise ration of a user’s Twitter account.
…assist a Twitter user to optimise their Twitter stream by providing an easy way to bulk unfollow people they are following based on a set of a criteria. Furthermore, ManageFlitter gives them other details about their account (e.g. who unfollowed them).
…providing a web-based application with an exceptionally easy to use yet powerful interface. ManageFlitter provides a set of “filters” to the user to assist in identifying the people they are following that are not adding value to their tweet stream, or are not following them back — users can bulk follow these accounts.
…it offers a powerful but user-friendly interface as well as a very robust service. Previous products were unreliable and difficult to use. There also was no bulk unfollowing option in most products due to Twitter API restrictions, so we reached a UI comprimise in conjunction with Twitter allowing bulk unfollowing via a unique drag-and-drop method.
…easy optimisation of a Twitter account. ManageFlitter helps Twitter users keep their tweet stream high on signal and low on noise. It also gives them valuable information such as who unfollowed them over what time period.
…Twitter “power users” — in particular people with 1,000 or more followers. It is also aimed at professional managers of large Twitter accounts.
…directly through the web site [2].
…leverage Twitter itself. As people use the application they have the option of tweeting out certain metrics of their Twitter account to their followers with reference to ManageFlitter. Competitions, video, PR will also be added into the mix. We use the free accounts to create a funnel for the premium accounts.
