1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation initially came to life when…

Toby, our co-founder, was booking a cleaner for his parents and found the process too complicated and cumbersome. It was too complicated both for the cleaner and the customer. Technology had proved to provide a platform for connecting people in other verticals so it was a no-brainer to create a service to connect professional cleaners with customers wanting their house cleaned.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

…allow people to quickly book a professional cleaner through a service they can trust. For cleaners to be able to focus on cleaning without the headaches of administration and marketing.

It does this by…

…allowing customers to book online without the need for someone to come out and quote. With just a few clicks, Maid2Match’s online platform will match customers with a locally screened, background-checked and certified professional cleaner who maintains high customer ratings. Ranking and allocating teams to jobs is handled by software behind the website.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

…it speeds up the entire service process and gives more time back to both cleaners and customers.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

…eliminating the need for customers to ring around and get quotes from cleaners. The customer can manage the booking without contacting the cleaner by phone. Cleaners eliminate the administration from their business, freeing up their time to focus on cleaning.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

…ringing multiple cleaning businesses for a quote or posting a “cleaning help wanted” ad on websites or in the newspaper. Once finding a suitable quote, letting the unknown cleaner into your home and trusting that they have a high cleaning standard.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

…the Yellow Pages, general quote aggregation sites like airtasker.com or serviceseeking.com.au and existing cleaning businesses.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

…the everyday person looking for a simple and affordable way to have their home cleaned by a trusted professional. Currently the service is only available in Brisbane.

It is available for sale through…

www.maid2match.com.au.

Our marketing strategy is to…

Growing through word of mouth as we continue to delight customers. We are supporting this with search engine marketing and some unique angles to content marketing.
