This innovation initially came to life when…

…LEVESYS personnel were reflecting on development projects for annual software upgrades. Always aiming to deliver greater value to clients with each upgrade, we surveyed our clients to identify where they were experiencing costs and brainstormed ideas to lower these costs. The concept of Perspectives was born and we knew we were onto something as the idea grew and evolved and the benefits to our clients became more evident as did our enthusiasm for the project as an organisation.

WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

…give our clients complete control over how they view and present their business information allowing them to create uniquely customised reports whilst maintaining complete data integrity needed for accounting and project control to support vital decision making.

It does this by…

…querying the extensive array of data contained within our niche construction industry ERP and presenting it to a grid in relevant and logical ways for the client to select for display in a report.

PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

…prior to launch of Perspectives our clients (and clients of our competitors) were restricted to choosing from the reporting options available on their software system which, whilst relevant for the industry, could be restricting. Therefore, if a client wanted a non-standard report, they had to commission the software supplier to create it which was expensive and time-consuming.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

…cost reductions to our clients and their suppliers, faster turnover of end-of-month reports right up to board level and the ability to make better informed and faster business decisions through customised presentation of relevant information in one report.

COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

…using the standard reports supplied, then creating MS Excel spreadsheets to present extra information. Even with a product that caters specifically for our niche market, this process was time-consuming with real potential for data to be tampered with once on the spreadsheet. The old way of presenting information meant flicking between numerous sheets and documents increasing risk of inaccuracy.

Currently Perspectives is available only for LEVESYS clients as it is tightly integrated into the core ERP software system for medium to large construction, engineering and service contractor companies.
