		<description>Unfortunately there is still that hazy line between sharing tacit knowledge versus over sharing to the point where people think you are redundant and make you that way. 

My last job I went into as SOLE IT support employee of a national company. I realised this was stressful to myself, was counter productive for employees who wastes time contacting/waiting for me, hence cost the company money (as I was on call 24/7 as well).

I then went about helping people within the company trouble shoot their own issues on a basic level, how to restart servers/routers, how to install printers, how to scan things, how to check if the internet is down with Telstra, even so far as to how to resize images.

Yeah great...I was then made redundant because I worked myself out of a job according to the company I was &quot;too efficient and quick to teach others&quot; (true words! I was told I&#039;d worked myself OUT of being useful). I was penalised for empowering employers, ruducing my own stress and saving the business money.

So I am personally a little fickle about sharing too much information sometimes. You don&#039;t get rewarded for doing so.</description>
