1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation came to life when…

Fox & Dove Mosman allows establishing designers to be able to stock their product in a high value area and receive 100% of the price. We are able to do this by charging a small amount of rent to cover our overheads. Fox & Dove look after all the bills, staffing, mechanising, etc.. This saves designers hundreds of thousands of dollars in cost every year if they tried to do it themselves, and allows them to build a solid customer base. Many of our labels are very good; however no retailer will take them on as they are new.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

We provide a place where designers can build their customer base and label whilst receiving 100% of the retail price.

It does this by…

Providing a space for them to do so, whilst not allowing the customer to notice the difference between a normal boutique and Fox & Dove’s model.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

At the moment the alternatives are to open a store themselves, or to wholesale their label. With wholesale, as many are establishing without sales history, retailers will not take them on, and if they were to open their own store it would cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

Our store customers are able to purchase unique pieces direct from the label. Our labels are able to sell in a profitable market and receive 100% of the sale price.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

This is the first store to ever give labels 100% of the sales price. All other stores will charge commissions. Thus we allow our designers to make more money overall than if they were wholesaling their products.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

Standalone Boutiques, 100 squared in Westfield.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

Establishing and established labels where they want to grow their market, whilst receiving 100% of the retail price.

It is available for sale through…

Fox & Dove is available to labels through a application process. Once accepted they are allowed to stock within the store.

Our marketing strategy is to…

We promote our store not only to the local community, but also to all establishing labels. This is through our current contacts in the industry, and via e-marketing.
