Fetish and bondage wear business thrives against the odds in Pakistan

From the ‘indomitable spirit of entrepreneurship’ file comes this curious video report [1] by the New York Times about two lower-class Pakistani brothers who defy threats from conservative local Islamists and manufacture fetish and bondage wear for Western customers, earning more than US$1 million a year. They provide a matter-of-fact run down of their product line as though they are running through the specials menu at a restaurant.
According to the brothers:
Brother #1: Sex is a basic instinct. It is just like food. And in food, the more spices you will put, it will be more spicy. So our products play the same role in sex.
Brother #2: These are the spices…
Brother #1: The spices of sex. (laughs)
Brother #2: … of lovemaking. (doesn’t laugh)
