1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation came to life when…

Expocentric’s CEO worked many years in the exhibition industry and felt like something was missing and that there was a huge waste in the industry and no environmental efficiency. So he created a service where his customers could purchase lease packages for their exhibition stand requirements rather than buying one off timber stands that are disposed after the show. He created a package of stands that were reconfigurable and reusable time and time again that benefits the environment in many ways and is well within our customers’ budgets and stand expectations. This created a revolution within the industry.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

The purpose of this innovation is to provide customers with an environmentally friendly exhibition solution that is cost-efficient and of the highest quality. Customers have different reconfigurable looking stands at every exhibition they participate in at no extra cost. They lease the stands instead of purchase.

It does this by…

It does this by creating a whole range of different lease packages with different inclusions of what can be added to the stands at different sizes and price points. The lease can go from six months to three years and brings high cost savings.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

The competition only offered traditional timber stands, with a one-off purchase, one-off use and then disposal. If customers reused the timber stands they incurred high storage and transport costs. This impacted greatly on the environment. Our stands are made from an aluminium framework that packs down to small pallet sizes.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

Cost efficiency: this service allows our customers to stay within their budgets and allows them to even have cost reductions. Customers have more variety for the look and feel of their stands and can have different looks at every show.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

The problem wasn’t able to be solved as there weren’t any other solutions for keeping the environment in mind with exhibition stands and finding ways to be cost-efficient or offering ways to reuse stands and make them look new at every exhibition.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

It is made for marketing, product managers and anyone else who requires an exhibition stand at a conference or exhibition.

It is available for sale through…

It is available for sale through Expocentric — customers call us for our lease packages which we design and set up for them.

Our marketing strategy is to…

Our marketing strategy is to demonstrate what we can provide our customers with at all exhibitions that we build stands in and how and why our service is different. We also do a lot of direct marketing with our primary target audience, providing them with photos and an explanation of our lease packages with our current customers.
