Driverli secures $10K from Catalysr to improve road safety amongst young drivers in Australia

After a standout performance in the award-winning Catalysr pre-accelarator program for startups, Driverli is on the road to business success thanks to a $10K funding boost.

The brainchild of founder, Jacques Lepron, Driverli helps make roads safer by making driving lessons easy to access. Driverli.com.au is a marketplace matching qualified and experienced driving instructors with new and international drivers looking for local driving lessons.

Driverli focusses on helping young drivers, and those from overseas without Australian driving experience to become safer drivers, preventing accidents and keeping our roads safe for all users.

One of the standout features of his program is a focus on simplifying the process for international drivers. As founder, Jacques Lepron stated, “being able to quickly and easily find a local instructor who speaks your language not only saves time, but is a much safer option for migrants,” With each state having a maze of driving laws and regulations, we’ve focussed on building a network around the country of instructors who speak almost 30 community languages between them.

Through working with Catalysr, an award-winning pre-accelerator for start-ups, Driverli was able to use the best of technology and the support of the program to make an impact in a short time. In the pre-accelerator phase, they connected drivers with over 220 hours of professional driving lessons by early 2020.

After the announcement that Driverli was one of two successful recipients of the $10K investment grant from Catalysr on the 28th of January, Mr Lepron has big plans to grow the business even further in 2020.

The Catalysr program has been integral to getting Driverli up and running. The support has helped me understand how to create a disruptive business that will improve the way the industry operates.

The funding will help Driverli.com.au continue to improve road safety as they invest in creating resources to improve driver knowledge of road rules. Funding will also be used to streamline internal processes, create partnerships and invest in advertising.

The next stage of business growth will be to focus on creating solid systems and processes to allow for expansion. We noticed that people are already referring family and friends to our website, so we want to make sure our systems are streamlined and intuitive for all users.

By improving the experience for new drivers, as well as our driving instructors, we are making it easier than ever to get on the road safely. With the help of the $10K Catalysr funding, Driverli.com.au have big dreams, and aim to help over 1000 new drivers get on the road safely by mid-year.
