Dealsguide: Daily Deal Aggregator
This innovation initially came to life when…
This innovation came to life when my business partner and I were looking into trends overseas and noticed the massive daily deal boom. We knew that there were a few sites already up and running.
We thought, instead of setting up a daily deal site and working against some big fish, we wanted to build a partnership with them to help them grow and build some exposure for them.
Our first goal was to put together a team of people that would help this business grow: Ben, Jackson, Ken, Josh and myself.
WHAT & HOW
The purpose of this innovation is to…
Dealsguide was created to save time, providing users with every deal from all deal sites in the one location. It is a free, simple and convenient way to track and give you all the daily deals in your city.
It does this by…
Having all Australian daily deals sites on one simple and easy to use platform: dealsguide.com.au.
We ensure equal exposure to both the big and small sites by keeping the site advertising free.
PURPOSE & BENEFITS
This innovation improves on what came before because…
Most of our users tell us that they find waking up to 15 emails from different sites to be time-consuming and frankly annoying.
They find that being able to go to one site where they can see the deals is a faster and more convenient way.
Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…
Users save time and daily deal businesses save money on expensive advertising campaigns.
COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE
In the past, this problem was solved by…
Its predecessors/competitors include…
TARGET MARKET
It is made for…
The reason why this is such a great business is because it is targeted at males and females 18-65 years of age.
We promote car racing experiences, hair and make up sessions, holidays away and even fashion.
With online shopping becoming consumers’ preferred way of shopping we will soon start to see an even greater amount of target-specific sites, including sites for mums, dads, teens and the retired.
DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY
It is available for sale through…
We have our user-friendly site dealsguide.com.au and a strong search engine presence.
We have also developed an iPhone app to make it easy to keep up to date for people on the move.
Our marketing strategy is to…
Have a strong online presence, strong social media follow, http://www.facebook.com/dealsguide, and strong following for our blog site alldailydeals.com.au
By building strong connections to our partner sites and relevant businesses online we believe it will help our SEO campaign.
Keeping in touch with our fans and users will help us build that strong social media we believe essential.
