Name: Danielle McFarland
Age: 29 (Born: August 1987)
Gender: Female
State: QLD
Known for: Therapair – https://www.therapair.co/

Danielle McFarland, 29, is a true trailblazer in the entrepreneur community, especially for young women aspiring to launch their own business.

McFarland, along with co-founder (and life partner) Sheree, run a software company called Mystro, a website named Healthinomics, and their newest venture Therapair.

Therapair is a website that matches people with health and wellness professionals they can connect with to book real-time appointments online, instantly. Providing health and wellness professionals with the tools they need to manage their business and schedules, along with finding them customers and guaranteeing bookings. An added bonus, Therapair provides every therapist with a free photo and video session to ensure they are presented professionally.
Talk about tapping into a niche market!

What makes Therapair even more unique is that McFarland and her team created a matching formula on their website. Creating better connections between therapists and their customers to ensure long-term retention and increasing the success of their business.

McFarland’s driving passion and determination to never give up on making her dreams a reality has set her apart from other startups in the country. Especially after a very discouraging setback trying to get Mystro off the ground. Four years, many legal battles and a loss of $80,000, McFarland and her partner had to walk away without a product.

That did not dishearten her pursuit to re-build Mystro all over again from the ground up. She finally launched the software program in January 2015.

Partnering with BlueChilli has opened many doors for McFarland, marketing-wise and is now being supported by the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland (CCIQ) who wrote an article on McFarland that reached over 400,000 people. These connections lead to articles in the Gold Coast Bulletin and StartupSmart.

Her resume is filled with so many accomplishments that they are worth bragging about. Since its launch two years ago, Mystro has over 1400 users worldwide and is available in 24 countries.

Since launching Therapair, over 30 massage therapists have come on board and Healthinomics generated nearly $10,000 in revenue within the first five months of its launch.

McFarland is motivated by being recognised for greatness and being an influential role model to younger women who may feel like they cannot be great as an entrepreneur.

“I want to be in a position where I can stand tall knowing that I’ve gotten myself to where I want to be because I built it.”

Anthill asked McFarland what is your superpower?

“I’m completely resourceful with a broad spectrum of skills and can bring an entire business to life in 48 hours with absolutely no help. I’m self-taught in everything I do and have gained more skills in the last five years than a founder would in a lifetime.”
