1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation came to life when…

Clients and friends kept asking for help to improve the look and feel of their blog videos that they record with their personal cameras or mobile phones, how to add a nice introduction and a call to action at the end with their logo and a proper title to the video to make it look more professional. Unfortunately the answer was always: You will need to get some kind of editing software, learn how to use it on YouTube, download your video, and do it. Or you can pay a professional editor for one hour to get it done for you.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

Help speakers, bloggers, corporate, and other business and not-so business people to set up the quality and look of their videos by making them look as if they were professionally edited and on branding, even if they are mobile phone videos.

It does this by…

Members upload their amateur video, logo or photo and title, pick a professional animated intro and call to action and their YouTube Details and press submit. It will then automatically integrate their logo and title to the intro and their call to action into the outro, sandwich their video in the middle and post it straight on their YouTube — all in less than five minutes!

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

It allows anyone to have professional-looking videos for a couple of dollars without any technical knowledge, software or equipment while saving hours of their time.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

  • Improve image and reputation online
  • Allow organisations to create videos without paying professionals to produce them
  • Generate more content and engage with their followers at a minimal cost
  • Save time and money
  • Create videos more often
  • Maintain video look-and-feel consistency

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

a) Spending hours editing/learning how to edit/buying software and hardware or templates

b) Paying a professional editor

c) Sacrificing their image by posting unprofessional-looking videos

Its predecessors/competitors include…

  • Portals that sell templates for intros (but then you need to edit it)
  • Freelancers
  • Production companies
  • Simple editing software vendors like Camtasia
