What is the 30under30?

30under30 is an Anthill initiative launched in early 2008 to encourage and promote entrepreneurship among young Australians.

Each year, we invite our readers to nominate young Australian entrepreneurs deserving of recognition for their outstanding entrepreneurial endeavours. More.

Calvin Coyles, WA (b. 1990)

Name: Calvin Coyles
Age: 24 (Born: April 1990)
Gender: Male
State: WA
Known for: Young & Wildly Successful

On July 1 2013, Calvin Coyles was $40,000 in debt, had no cash and had just left a business he had help build in Bali to start his own company in NLP, leadership and coaching.

“I didn’t even have money to hire my first venue, so I sold tickets to an event I hadn’t booked to pay for the venue and then hustled like crazy to make it happen,” he shared with Anthill.

Calvin launched Young & Wildly Successful (YWS), which in the spirit of its name grew wildly successful at a young age, going from zero to $100,000 in just 90 days!

“I started YWS to make a difference in people’s lives by helping them overcome their limitations, build high performance teams, become powerful speakers and communicators and make money doing what they love,” he explained about his motivation.

YWS today runs a series of dynamic, practical and life-changing seminars and coaching programs across Australia and other parts of the globe, has a hit YouTube program (YWS TV) and has reached more than 50,000 people in 64 countries around the world.

Calvin says YWS has grown mainly through the good old word of mouth marketing.

“In every course we deliver, we touch people’s lives in such a powerful way that they share their results with nearly everyone they know. It’s really that simple.”

He further revealed that since starting in 2013, his business has created over 15 six and seven figure business owners through the various courses they offer.

YWS has already reeled in over $500,000 this year and now employs over a dozen people.

Calvin’s entrepreneurial endeavours have seen him lead Australia to the top 16 of the Social Enterprise World Championships 2011, be a 2013 Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist and make it to the 2013 Top 100 Most Influential Business Owners.

However, despite all this, Calvin says his biggest success was managing to convince Chris Howard, a renowned world leader in NLP, to hire him as his COO at the tender age of 22 to run his global company and teach him everything he knew about the business.

Anthill asks: Calvin Coyles, what’s your super power?

My superpower is the ability to hustle harder than my competition. I excel in my business because I care more about my clients than anyone else; they’re like family to us. Our mantra is to offer a product better than the competition at a price cheaper than the competition.
