Chanel is out to create products/services that changes the game and provide consumers with a new way of doing things that is valuable to them. She and the Receva team are creating a dent in history by reinventing the archaic letter box and bringing it into life. All thanks to the internet.
Going into the market without a product/website/store/business, just an amazing idea, Chanel has still managed to have many customers buy into the vision. Receva exhibited at the Melbourne Home Show earlier this year and received a significant amount of pre‑orders from customers paying for a product that they will only receive at the end of this year.
Chanel told Anthill, “We had just designed our new smart mailbox and one had 1 prototype that we displayed to customers. Despite customers receiving their smart mailbox in another 6‑8 months time, we received significant pre‑orders. This was the ultimate validation point.”
“Having a 16% conversion rate for sales of a product that is completely new to the market and won’t be delivered for 6‑8 months to the household is a very remarkable feat,” she highlighted.

While exhibiting at a trade show, I found out that a senior individual from a partner company was going going to be there. He would otherwise be out of reach and difficult to get to. I persistently pursued him and was able to get a 10 minute slot of time whereby we successfully pitched our business to him
