			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Way back in the mid-1970s, when dinosaurs still roamed Melbourne’s outer suburbs, Steve Wozniak said to his HP boss something along the lines of &#8220;I’ve had this great idea: personal computers in every home.&#8221; His boss at HP, in turn, said words to the effect of &#8220;Pfff. If that ever catches on I’ll eat my highly-flammable, synthetic safari suit.&#8221;</p>
<p>Undeterred, Wozniak buddied-up with a bloke called Steve Jobs. And the rest, as they say, is geektastic history. </p>
<p>The world’s first home microcomputer, Apple I, got its start in 1976 after Jobs and Wozniak raised a cool $1300 in initial investment.</p>
<p>Thirty-five years later, we like to think Wozniak allowed himself a brief &#8220;ne-ner-ne-nerr!&#8221; moment when Apple recently passed HP as the word’s leading volume producer of PCs. </p>
<p>Why the tech history lesson, you ask? Well, Steve Wozinator is on his way to Australia-land in May to present a series of world-first seminars entitled: <strong>The Apple Story: Disruptive Innovation, Inspiration and Entrepreneurial Wizardry</strong></p>
<p>As co-founder of the world’s most valuable company, we imagine Wozniak has a nugget or two of wisdom to impart on Apple’s fundamental business philosophy and the late Jobs’ legacy.</p>
<p>&#8220;The best ideas didn&#8217;t come from a book. If you want to be a success, then you need to live and breathe your philosophy,&#8221; Wozniak says.</p>

<p>For those of you who’ve not had the pleasure, Innovation  Bay’s Angel Dinners bring together angels and entrepreneurs. To date, the organisation has assisted entrepreneurs raise over $10 million in seed investment as a result of these dinners. (Heard of Spreets? Yup? <p>Are you an entrepreneur in the high-tech space? Fancy a bit of funding? Then you may well be interested in pitching at this event, held at Table for 20 in Surry Hills, Sydney.</p>

<p>Who is Kate Conroy? It&#8217;s Kate&#8217;s job to help small and fast growth businesses master their online marketing with Google AdWords.</p>
<p>She is an AdWords Product Specialist for Google Australia,  where she  has worked since 2006. She specialises in understanding and  applying  Search Marketing techniques for Australian businesses.</p>
<p>Kate is a native of Canberra with degrees in multimedia and law. She  is also  one of Australia’s most enthusiastic online shoppers – her list  of  online purchases even includes a kitchen sink!</p>
