Have you ever found yourself hunting for answers to specific business or lifestyle related questions but don’t know where to turn? There’s a brand new web based and mobile solution called Echofied – that allows consumers to post any question and obtain a range of answers and opinions from independent and registered professionals and experts.

Echofied empowers consumers and enables them to access hundreds of independent professionals across home loans, finance, real estate, superannuation, insurance, legal, accounting and business at their own convenience, no matter what the time without giving away any personal info.

Thirty-year veteran of the home loan industry Paul Ryan said he developed Echofied to help people reclaim their time and cut through the white noise of information overload. Former Head of Revenue at Nine Entertainment Co. Peter Wiltshire has joined the Advisory Board. Mr Wiltshire has also enjoyed senior sales roles at Network Ten and Southern Cross Broadcasting.

What exactly does Echofied do?

“Echofied is an independent peer to expert Q&A platform where consumers are liberated to ask questions and experts, across a range of industry sectors, amplify their expertise and skills by providing helpful and transparent answers,” Mr Ryan said.

“We have all probably been guilty of putting off asking questions because there aren’t enough hours in the day or we just don’t know who to ask. Echofied takes away that stress because you can post a question before you go to bed and have a variety of expert answers by the time you wake up,” he said.

“So rather than rushing home for an appointment and waiting for people to return your call, consumers can use Echofied to finally get answers quickly, seek second opinions, and allow other professionals to make comments on whether they are receiving the correct information.”

“Users can see all the questions and answers on the community platform. It’s like a library of information to review answers, like the information, and even follow and monitor the professionals who continually provide valuable expertise.”

Could this be a game changer?

Mr Wiltshire said Echofied had the potential to be like a consumer version of Linkedin.

“In many ways, Echofied is a game changer because there’s nothing else like it on the market. Echofied solves the pain points of consumers who want access to genuine expertise fast – especially when often all they want to ask is a quick question. There’s a lot to like about how this business is working and is positioned for growth and scale,” he said.

Echofied is also being used as an educational tool. You can ask questions, plan ahead and then have direct access to the people who have helped you gain knowledge.

“Every professional on the platform has to register and acknowledge their expertise before they can answer any questions. They have to register their professional details before they can start answering questions,” Mr Ryan said.

Some questions that already have been posted (and answered) through the app:

  • What are the best options for entering the home market with a low deposit without being locked into high interest fixed loans?
  • How much of my super can I access before retirement?
  • If selling 50% share in an investment property, how is the capital gains tax calculated?
  • I just started my own business and want some some advice of when I need to get an ABN and register for GST
  • We want to use our Super to purchase Land and we don’t have enough in Super, can we use what we have for a deposit?
  • When is the ideal time to refinance a home loan?

Echofied already has hundreds of accredited professionals on the platform. All consumers are anonymous and can’t be contacted by the people answering the questions. If consumers like the way an expert answers and interacts with consumers – they have the chance to make contact directly with the professional answering the questions.
