What is 30under30?
30under30 is an Anthill initiative launched in early 2008 to encourage and promote entrepreneurship among young Australians. This year saw a surplus of highly qualified entrants, so we thought we would highlight some of the bright and innovative nominees who just missed the Top 30 by a wink. Designer furniture shouldn’t be limited to luxury budgets, so believes Bill Huynh, the founder of Interior Secrets.
Employing a streamlined model and online-only presence, Interior Secrets sells replica model furniture at low prices and delivers it Australia wide.
“I am determined to prove that online is not the future,” says Huynh. “It is now and we are ready to make a difference.”
The business journey originated on a challenge: how to refurnish his parents’ entire home on a $5,000 budget. In the process, Huynh connected with his inner sleuth, tracking down wholesalers, posing as a designer, and eventually getting samples straight from China.
Now Interior Secrets is filling that void, and Huynh is preparing to move into a brand new warehouse six times the size of the current headquarters.
“We make it public that we are ‘an interior designer’s best-kept secret’,” says the Melbourne native.
“If you want to shop where interior designers do, you’ve come to the right place.”

Being young and determined, I am able to catch up with the mature players while they sleep. With an eye for detail and being a professional googler, I stay on top of things all the time.
