Australian exporters can claim IP expenses from 1 July ‘09

May 25, 2009 | By News Desk

For the first time, Australian exporters will be eligible to claim IP expenses under Austrade’s Export Market Development Grant Program (EMDG).

From 1 July, 2009, Australian exporters may be able to partially recover the cost of their IP protection – including the cost of granting, registering or extending rights under foreign laws – as well as insurance costs relating to the rights.

For more information, see IP Australia’s website.

For further details on the EMDG including eligibility criteria, check out: http://www.austrade.gov.au/EMDG-how-to-apply/default.aspx.

(Thanks to Sally Bodman from Watermark for the tip.)
