Attention entrepreneur wannabes: Hahn wants to JumpStart your idea!

What do you do if you’re young, and already have a successful business (or two) under your belt?

Well, you could be selfish and guard your secrets to success, or if you were Jack Delosa and the entrepreneurs behind Hahn, you would launch a program that offers other Australians the opportunity to make their dreams come true.

Did you just sit up and pay attention?

What’s the Hahn JumpStart deal about?

Hahn, one of Australia’s leading beer brands, has teamed up young entrepreneur Jack Delosa, to create Hahn JumpStart, a program aimed at fostering collaboration, idea sharing and ultimately, making these ideas a reality.

Australians are invited to submit their original idea to hahnjumpstart.com.au for a chance to receive a cash boost, as well as a personalised mentoring program from some of Australia’s best in business.

The winning group would receive personalized coaching, access to industry experts, as well as $20,000 to turn their dreams into reality.

The Runner-Up group and the People’s Choice Award ( ie. social media darlings) would each receive mentoring and $5000.

Why bother to JumpStart somebody else’s idea?

Matt Tapper, National Marketing Director of Lion, said “We created this program because we believe it’s at the heart of what Hahn is all about – collaboration, passion and taking a risk on a new idea you believe in. Since our first beer was brewed back in 1988, we’ve had some amazing successes and some interesting challenges.”

“Hahn JumpStart is about helping groups of friends take an idea they’re passionate about and making it a reality. Financial support is important, but when coupled with the experience and advice of people who have had an idea and made a successful business out of it, it’s truly an invaluable prize.”

Tapper added that the program will give aspiring entrepreneurs the tools and tips to help make their idea a success.

Jack Delosa, the campagian ambassador with two multi-million dollar businesses under his belt, commented, “One of my true passions is to help others seize their dreams, and the Hahn JumpStart program gives people the perfect channel to do this.”

Delosa also encourages budding entrepreneurs to share their thoughts, no matter how seemingly small. According to him, some of the best business ideas are those that have been thrown around with friends.

Having an entrepreneurial spirit means you gotta seize this opportunity really soon.

Ideas can be submitted at hahnjumpstart.com.au until 12 September 2014, with Delosa and a panel of experts selecting the final winners on 3 December 2014.

With all ideas welcome, mentors for the campaign span a broad range of industries, including Founder of Braaap Motorcycles and twice named Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Brad Smith; founders and owners of Bondi Hardware, The Botanist and So Cal, Ben Carroll and Hamish Watts; and the brains behind innovative app, TheBestDay, Whitney Komor.

Delosa added “Hahn JumpStart allows Australians to take a risk on a big idea, for the chance to be rewarded with bringing it to life. So put your ideas down and enter Hahn JumpStart – you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!”
