The name blatantly outlines the company’s area of expertise. Andrew Raso and Mez Homayunfard created this specialist online marketing agency in 2012 in their parents’ living rooms.

Since then, the company has grown to have a staff of 70 and over 240 clients. They’ve also opened offices in Australia, the United States and Europe. As a product of this extensive growth, OMG has gone from a $1,000 startup to a $6.3 million company.

OMG focuses on driving organic traffic, leads and sales to their clients’ websites, says Mez. He adds they also specialize in “new age” search engine optimization. By “new age” he means a combination of content marketing, technical SEO and online public relations.

Just since last year’s 30under30, OMG has expanded internationally, doubled their staff and tripled their turnover, Mez says.

Mez and Andrew agree they’ve both grown as people since last year’s competition as well.

“I have grown as entrepreneur, as a boss and as a person,” Mez says.

The duo has helped their business to grow in multiple ways. Andrew says creating powerful partnerships with well-known figures in the industry has been a major catalyst to OMG’s growth.

Mez says one of their greatest partnerships is with Neil Patel, who Mez describes as one of the world’s biggest thinkers in digital media. Surprisingly enough, this relationship bloomed from a simple cold call.

Andrew says another way they create buzz for OMG is by being featured on interviews with channels such as Sky News, as well as writing articles for major publications.

Both partners agree, one of the strongest aspects of their team is their ability to form connections. Andrew says in their industry, it’s extremely important to be able to comfortably talk to other and for others to feel comfortable talking to you. By ensuring their team’s social ability, they’ve been able to climb the ladder to success.
