This is a video from the U.S. Today Show in 1994.

The team debate was the ‘@’ symbol was and, then comes the question ‘What is the Internet anyway?’

It’s been a short 20 years in between where the @ symbol is universal in email addresses and, pretty much everyone knows what the internet is.

So, baring that in mind, how rapidly the world has embraced the online world, think about where we could possibly be by 2034.

Remember, this video is 13 years after this KRON media report in 1981. It took a long while for the internet to reach mass market and mass understanding of its potential.

And no, the fashion and hairstyles of 1994 were not better than those in 1981.
